Wow, it’s been a whole month since I’ve posted? Whoops! Well, you see, I was just introduced to the fantastically terrifying time of year called Finals Week, and while on one hand I’m glad I finally find Finals Week memes relatable, man oh man was that a time! While I’ll forever cherish the memories of the fun I had with my study group as we slowly spiraled into a sleep-deprived slap-happy chaotic group of girls (seriously, by Thursday evening, I was saying such wacky things during our philosophy review and we had a lot of laughs), I think I can safely say I’m glad it’s over.
This whole semester went by in such a blur. It was honestly pretty amazing. I made so many new friends and had a lot of adventures. I suppose my only real disappointment is the lack of writing that occurred over the past four months. Who’d have thought that transitioning from homeschooling to going to an actual college plus having a part-time job would cut into writing time? Not me, apparently.
So, my goal for next semester is to write more regularly. I wrote little and sporadically this semester, but you know what? That’s okay. I was present to the people around me. I forged strong bonds with my classmates and friends. I acclimated to a brand new environment and did well with my classes. I’m proud of the work I did this semester, even if it wasn’t quite what I was expecting it to be.
Here’s to hoping I didn’t slip backwards too far with my writing, and that I can keep up my blogging, Instagram, and creative writing all through next semester. And here’s to a restful Christmas break!
